About the data
What this site is
WizStore puts Israeli supermarket prices in one place: look up a product, see what it costs at each chain, find the cheaper chains and the cheaper stores in your city. It is free and needs no sign-up. WizStore is run by WizBI and is not affiliated with any chain, manufacturer or government body.
Where the prices come from
Israel's Food Price Transparency rules (under the Promotion of Competition in the Food Sector Law) require supermarket chains to publish daily files with the price of every product in every store, plus their deals. We collect these files every day from each chain that publishes readable files, combine them and show them here.
Right now: 30 chains, 2,119 stores and 210,328 barcoded products. Last update: Oct 6, 2026.
How the price index works
For each store we take common products (sold by 10+ chains and 300+ stores) and compare the store's shelf price with each product's national median price. 100 is the median; 92 means the store is about 8% cheaper. A store needs at least 40 such products to get an index. “After deals” uses the lower of the shelf price and a deal open to all shoppers (club-only deals excluded). Rankings and “cheapest” labels are our calculation on the data we hold — not a recommendation or a promise that no lower price exists.
Limitations
- Prices are shown as published in the chains' files. The price at the checkout is the one that counts.
- Some chains don't publish usable files, or publish for only some stores, so they are missing or partial.
- Products are compared by barcode only; items sold by weight or with an in-store code are not compared.
- Product names stay in Hebrew, as the chains publish them. City names and units are matched automatically and can be wrong.
- Days when collection failed are missing from the price history.
